In order to help those hit hardest by Covid-19, Believers Eastern Church dioceses held relief supply distributions at different locations on 27 April 2020.
The distributions were done with the approval from local police and government officials and safety protocols advised by government were followed during the distributions.
Mission Diocese of Jammu helped 20 most needy families with dry ration items. Police officials were present during the distribution.
To feed those in need during this hour of crisis, in Diocese of Chennai freshly-cooked meals were supplied to 60 poor people, including widows through Bridge of Hope (Hope for Children).
A local parish in Mission Diocese of Banswara distributed grocery items to needy families.
In Diocese of Anand, a local parish provided ration items to poor families in the neighborhood.
A parish priest in Diocese of Chennai extended help to 25 transgender persons in the form of grocery items. Each person received 5 kg rice, 1 kg dal, vegetable oil and soap.
Also, priest and members of another parish helped 25 needy families with dry ration items.
