Flood-Affected Villagers Receive New BioSand Water Filters in Diocese of Dhemaji

Believers Church Diocese of Dhemaji distributed 30 BioSand Water Filter on 22nd February 2015.

The village where the distribution was held is a place which always gets affected by floods during monsoon. Due to this, their water sources are contaminated and they had a shortage of drinking water even though they had plenty of water available there.

All they wanted was a filter but they did not have sufficient money to afford one. So, the church decided to distribute them these filters.

“Thank you so much,” said Sharmila Pegu, one beneficiary who lost her husband due to jaundice. “I couldn’t save my husband’s life, but I can ensure my children’s health at least with this filter.”

Believers Church each year saves thousands of people from hazardous health issues through its water and sanitation projects.
