Believers Church Kathmandu Diocese distributed gifts in a leprosy colony on World Leprosy Day, 30th January 2013.
Bishop Emanuel Juribu told the leprosy patients that the team was there to share the love of Jesus, who gave the privilege to love people without prejudice.
The church gave warm clothes and sweets to 190 people in the leprosy colony and encouraged them with words and songs. Sanilal, a 78-year-old patient, said this was the first time in 50 years that such a program happened in the colony. “I am really very, very happy,” he said. “This program rejuvenates my soul.”
This is just one of many programs Believers Church held on World Leprosy Day.
