First Bridge of Hope Center Opens in Mizoram

Believers Church Shillong Diocese opened the first Bridge of Hope center in Mizoram on 5th January 2013. It is located in a poor village inhabited mostly by cultivators.

The two primary schools in the village only go up to 2nd standard. Children have to go to another village for upper primary school. Due to poverty, most of them cannot study further, since the nearest high school is one day’s journey from their village.

Bridge of Hope’s new center will help the village kids get the education they need. 250 people attended the center’s inauguration, including children, parents, community members and village heads.
