Fifteen BioSand Water Filters Distributed in Bengaluru Diocese

Rev. Fr. Laxman is working among the people of Shrikantha Nagar of Shravanbelagola in the Hassan district of Karnataka. He saw the need for clean drinking water in the village and informed the Diocese office in Bengaluru.

Soon after, a ceremony was organized in the village on 4th October 2011 to distribute BioSand water filters. Shri Raghavendra (Taluka Panchayat president) and Shri Ashok (Gram Panchayat president) were the special guests of the occasion.

Shri Raghavendra gave a brief speech regarding the necessity of safe drinking water. He appreciated Believers Church and assured his support for the church and believers.

Fifteen BioSand water filters were freely distributed to community members and a school, for which the people were grateful.

After the program, Shri K.N.Ramaswami (head master of Shrikantha School) said, “We are extremely grateful to the Believers Church BioSand Water Filter distribution project for extending helping hands and for thinking of our good health. Today, we staff and our children can have pure water. On behalf of all the staff and students, I express my heartfelt gratitude to Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese for giving the BioSand water filter.”
