On 22nd July 2009, Believers Church Hyderabad Diocese gave poverty-alleviating gifts to impoverished community members. The items included sewing machines, pull carts, bicycles, barber equipment kits, wheelchairs and water filters. The distribution helped around 510 families to step out of their extreme level of poverty.
The church also distributed ten sewing machines to the Andhra Pradesh social welfare board for a home which accommodates women who are neglected by society, including prostitutes and AIDS victims. The social welfare board will train the women to stitch clothes so they can become self-reliant.
Believers Church distributes thousands of income-generating gifts each year in underdeveloped communities.
