Believers Church Gorakhpur Diocese conducted a free-of-cost eye camp on the 8th of July.
The people were eager to see the doctor and arrived early. The doctors were from the local government hospital.
Around 120 old men and women attended. At the end of the check-up some were found to be in need of operation. Others were given medication and eye protection glasses.
Sarita is suffering from an eye problem with tears always rolling down her face. She said, “When I look at others, they ask me whether I am crying but it’s not the fact. I have a problem with my eyes. Nowadays who has the heart to take care of old people like me? This eye camp is a wonderful help for me. I am grateful to Believers Church from the depth of my heart.”
And Sarita was not the only one. The entire community was happy that the camp was arranged in their village. The eye camp is just one aspect of Believers Church’s medical initiatives. The Church holds medical camps and health awareness programs in different locations all over India.
