Feast of St James the Apostle
On October 23 we celebrate the Feast of St. James the Brother of our Lord. He is notable for serving as the first bishop of the Church at Jerusalem. One of his major contributions is the drafting of the first Christian liturgy. Even today the orthodox churches celebrate the liturgy that is named after him.
