To Empower Poor Women Diocese of Jasidih Distributes 140 Sewing Machines on Founder’s Day

On 8th March 2017, Believers Church Diocese of Jasidih distributed sewing machines to 140 poor women during a gift distribution program held to celebrate the occasion of Founder’s Day and International Women’s Day.

The chief guest for the program was Mr. Kanhaya Jha (Ward Member & District Chief Officer). Inaugurating the event, he said, “Believers Church is involved in several projects that help to uplift the women of the society”. He thanked Believers Church for conducting various community development programs that are aimed to strengthen and empower women economically. He also encouraged the women beneficiaries to work responsibly for improving the financial condition of their families.

At the end of the program, 140 brand new sewing machines were distributed to the women who had successfully completed their tailoring training from various tailoring units run by Believers Church. With the sewing machines they received, they will be able to set up their own tailoring business and start earning a living.
