Ecumenical Gathering of Kerala Council of Churches Held at Believers Church Synod Secretariat

On 5th December 2016, an ecumenical gathering organised by Kerala Council of Churches was held at the Believers Church Synod Secretariat. Dr. Geevarghese Mor Coorilos, President of Kerala Council of Churches, inaugurated the meeting and Dr. K. P. Yohannan, Metropolitan, presided over the function.

While delivering the inaugural address, Dr. Geevarghese Mor Coorilos said, “Along with strengthening society, unity of churches will also help in opening doors for goodness”. “By becoming a full member, Believers Church will strengthen the Kerala Council of Churches,” he added.

Over 200 people participated in the program. His Grace Kuriakose Mar Sevarios, Metropolitan (Archbishop of the Knanaya Archdiocese), Dr. Gabriel Mar Gregorios, Metropolitan (Indian Orthodox Church), His Grace Kuriakose Mor Gregorios (Suffragan Metropolitan of Knanaya Archdiocese, Malankara), Bishop Dr. J.W. Gladstone (Church of South India), Bishop Thomas Samuel (Church of South India), His Grace Issac Mor Osthatheos, Metropolitan of Delhi Diocese, His Beatitude Abune Mar Baselios Cyril I (Metropolitan, Malabar Independent Syrian Church), Bishop Dr. George Eapen, Colonel Nikhal Hittiyarchi, Marthoma Church Clergy Trustee Rev. Lal Cherian, YMCA National President Lebi Philip Mathew, KCC Secretary Fr. Dr. Reji Mathew and Believers Church PRO Fr. Sijo Pandapallil spoke on the occasion.
