Dry Rations Distributed Among Helpless Widows on International Widows Day

Sisters of Compassion from Believers Church Changlang held a gift packet distribution program on International Widows Day, 23rd June 2014. Around 20 widows attended the program and received the provisions.

Each packet includes food items such as rice, dal, salt, sugar, tea and soap. Rev. Fr. Tasi talked to the widows about the importance of the day and about empowering themselves.

Sis. Rika said, “Thank you very much for giving me these items. I am very happy and blessed to get all these things and it means a lot to me. I feel so blessed.”

Believers Church conducted similar programs in all its dioceses to empower widows.
