Dry Ration Kit Distribution in Diocese of Hubli

As daily wage earners are among the worst hit in the second wave of COVID-19, a local parish in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Hubli held a dry ration distribution to help the families of daily wage laborers on 11 June 2021.

The priest and youth of the parish visited the needy families in Bellary District and provided them each with a kit consisting of 5 kg rice, 1 kg dal, 1 kg rava, 1 kg sugar, 1 kg salt, and 1 litre oil. The distribution was done with the approval from the local government administration.

A young woman who received the kit said, “How is it possible that you are going door to door to distribute dry rations with such happiness and boldness when people in my own community are afraid to come out and talk to others? Even my neighbors are not talking with us because of Coronavirus, but you have come here like god to help us. Thank you so much”.
