On Global Hand Washing Day (15th October 2010), Believers Church Udaipur Diocese took the initiative to promote the importance of washing hands through several programs.
Two Bridge of Hope centers near the Udaipur Diocese office arranged programs for the students and their parents.
Special guest Dr. Amit Mehta talked about proper hand washing from a medical point of view. His speech was supplemented with a video clip about hand washing prepared by Believers Church.
The program also communicated hygiene principles through a skit and a hand washing demonstration. Dr. Amit Mehta distributed hygiene supplies such as bathing and washing soaps to each child.
The children and parents curiously watched the event and learned about the life-saving practice of washing hands with soap.
Also, the Believers Church Women’s Fellowship Department visited a nearby village to teach the community members about hygiene.
These programs, like all Believers Church awareness events, were for the purpose of enlightening and educating the public.
Believers Church aims to improve the lives of communities in each area it is located.
