Diocese of Vizag Holds Clean-Up Campaign to Mark Independence Day

To commemorate the 70th Independence Day, Believers Church Diocese of Vizag organized clean-up drives on Independence Day, 15th August 2016.

Youths of the diocese took the initiative to conduct this cleanliness campaign. Along with the youths, clergy and volunteers of the church also wholeheartedly participated in the cleaning program. They carried out the clean-up drive in streets, slums, bus stands and other areas.

They also cleaned up drainages which were clogged with plastics, papers and other waste materials. The foul smell emanated from the drains made it difficult for passersby to even walk on the roads, but, despite this problem, the team from the church, without any hesitation, removed the garbage and unclogged the drains.

The local people appreciated the work of the team and thanked the church for its contribution to the nation.
