Diocese of Vizag Helps 95 Women to Become Self-Supporting

Believers Church Diocese of Vizag empowered 95 women through different distribution programs held between 8th and 12th of March 2016.

Mr. Velagapudi Ramakrishna (MLA) was the main guest in one place. He inaugurated the distribution and appreciated the church for taking various initiatives to empower the deprived people, children and women. Later, he distributed the gifts to each woman.

Previously, these women were given training in stitching and embroidery works through the church’s vocational training program. Now, the church gifted them with sewing machines, which will help them to earn an income.

“I am illiterate and because of that, getting a job was an impossible dream for me. It was during this time, I received tailoring training from the church,” said Venkatlaxmi, one recipient. “Thank you so much for gifting me a sewing machine too. From now onwards, I can use my skill and my gift to earn an income and meet my family’s needs.”
