Believers Church Diocese of Vijayawada distributed relief supplies to Cyclone Hudhud victims on 20th October 2014. 400 families received relief kits containing 10 kg rice, 1 kg salt, 1 kg dal, 1 kg sugar, 1 kg oil and masala powders.
Cyclone Hudhud hit Andhra Pradesh on 12th of this month, devastating some districts completely. A large number of people have lost all their livelihoods and houses and there is a great need for food items and drinking water. So, the church came forward to give these people vital food supplies. Rev. Fr. Varaprasad inaugurated the distribution program.
“We were in real need for some food supplies, but it was too difficult to get it,” said Veeramma, a beneficiary. “But you saw our need and helped us and thank you so much for that.”
