Diocese of Udaipur Empowers 100 Widows in Commemoration of International Widows Day

On 24th June 2016, Believers Church Diocese of Udaipur organized a social welfare program to commemorate International Widows Day. On this occasion 100 widows received various gifts.

There were about 150 people gathered at the event. The chief guests for the program were Mrs. Kavita from Municipal council and Mr. Champalal (head of a village). In his remarks, the chief guest Mr. Champalal said, “Believers Church always helps the needy and stands with the poor”.

During the gift distribution, goats, sewing machines and a kit containing grocery items for one complete month were gifted to widows as per their need. The widows received the items joyfully and expressed their heartfelt thanks to the church.

“There were many days that my children and I hardly had food to eat because I could not go for labor work. So, thank you so much for providing me with one month grocery items”, said a widow.
