In an effort to educate people about the need and benefits of Covid-19 vaccination, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Tinsukia has been organizing vaccination awareness drives in different remote villages of Assam through Hope for Children.
While the urban population is desperate to get a jab to protect themselves against Covid-19, vaccine hesitancy continues to be a problem in rural India, where people are still hesitant to take Covid vaccine owing to misconceptions and myths surrounding the vaccines.
Therefore, the main aim of the drive is to raise awareness in rural villages about the safety and efficacy of vaccines, debunk all myths related to COVID-19 vaccinations and help people to register for vaccination. Along with awareness programs, vaccine awareness pamphlets are also distributed to people in each village.
In continuation of this awareness drive, the Hope for Children staff will help villagers with vaccination regarding procedures and get them registered on portals.
