Believers Church Diocese of Siliguri organized social welfare programs in two places on 8th March 2016.
The first program was held in a remote village and the church distributed blankets to 50 needy people. Later, the church distributed notebooks and pencils to 40 children in a leprosy colony.
All of them were happy to receive the gifts. “I received a gift for the first time in my life,” said Nilkantha, one of the recipients. “I am very much grateful to the church for this blanket” she added. Several others appreciated the church for its service towards the downtrodden.
