The Diocese of Siliguri dedicated toilets to communities lacking sanitation facilities in the month of February. The church constructed 15 toilets and all together 84 people use these new facilities.
Most of the villagers work in tea gardens and are illiterate. They depended on the nearby fields or open spaces to defecate because they were unaware of the need of sanitation facilities. Believers Church educated them about the importance of proper sanitation and provided the facilities that they needed.
Through the sanitation project the church provides thousands of toilets to needy communities.
