Diocese of Siliguri Gifts Sewing Machines and Tin Sheets to 100 Widows

As part of International Widows Day celebration, Believers Church Diocese of Siliguri organized a gift distribution program in a village on June 29, 2016.

Mr. Sankar Malakar (MLA) was invited as chief guest for the event. Inaugurating the program, he said, “I am personally inspired much by the work of Believers Church. The contribution of Believers Church towards the downtrodden in the society is appreciable”. He lauded the church for carrying out various social welfare programs to empower the poor and needy. “We all belong to one nation and there is no discrimination between us. Let us try to build our nation by helping one another,” he added.

That day, Believers Church distributed 18 sewing machines and 82 tin sheets to 100 needy widows.
