Diocese of Siliguri Constructs 20 Toilets for Villagers in Need

The Diocese of Siliguri dedicated 20 toilets in different locations in the month of June 2014. Overall 94 people use these new sanitation facilities.

Due to the lack of proper sanitation facilities the villagers used open places like paddy fields or roadsides to relieve themselves. The safety of the people, especially girls, was at risk and due to this unhygienic practice people were susceptible to diseases.

Through the sanitation project the church has constructed toilets for many needy communities.
