Diocese of Satgaon Provides Assistance to Families Impacted by Pandemic

Continuing its efforts to render help to the families impacted by the pandemic, Believers Eastern Church Mission Diocese of Satgaon carried out dry ration distributions at three different locations in the district of Nagaon and Hojai, on 20 June 2021.

The distributions were organized in collaboration with 3 IR Mizo Battalion. While the 3 IR Battalion provided assistance to 30 families in the form of cash, the Diocese of Satgaon team extended help to 15 poor and needy families in the form of dry rations. S.I Rocchhara Chhangte, Post Commander, S.I Hmingthantluanga, Post Commander, were part of the relief distributions.

Altogether, 45 families, including widows and beggars who have been hit hard by the pandemic, were helped by this joint venture.

“I’m indebted to the Mizo Battalion and Believers Eastern Church for helping us in this time of crisis” said a beggar named Madhini.
