On 17th June 2014, a Bridge of Hope center in the Diocese of Patna conducted a medical camp for needy community members. Altogether 140 people were benefited from the program and mosquito nets and umbrellas were distributed to the Bridge of Hope children and their parents.
Bishop M. A. Lalachan inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. He called out for public support to build a healthy state, and encouraged people to concentrate more on good health and the well being of others.
Dr. Rakesh Sharma (Medical Doctor) was the chief guest of the program. In his short speech he appreciated the initiative of the church among the poor and the needy. Also he talked about diseases, their early symptoms and remedies.
Sis. Mina Devi said, “Since last month I am struggling with weakness and stomachache; I am privileged to get a good treatment at the right time. Thanks a lot to Bridge of Hope for conducting such a program for our children.”
This was just one of the medical camps that the Diocese of Patna conducted in different Bridge of Hope centers between 9th June and 18th June. Overall, 4,500 people were benefited from these camps.
