Diocese of Patna Distributes Over 11.2 Tonnes of Relief Materials in Six Flood-Ravaged Districts

Believers Church Diocese of Patna held relief distributions in six flood-ravaged districts of Bihar from 16th to 21st September 2017, reaching out to 1,500 flood affected families with relief supplies.

More than 11,250 kilograms of dry rations consisting of rice, dal, salt, oil, and clothe items as well were distributed among the most affected families in Purnia, Katihar, Kishaganj, Araria, Madhepura and Madhubani districts.

The beneficiaries and the local government bodies appreciated the church for coming forward to help those in need.

This year’s monsoon floods affected 19 districts, claimed over 500 lives and left 17 million people homeless in Bihar.
