Diocese of Vijayawada Ordains 77 New Deacons

Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Vijayawada held an ordination ceremony recently where 77 men were ordained into the sacred order of diaconate.

H.G. Samuel Mor Theophilus Episcopa (Archbishop of the Chennai Archdiocese) presided over the sacred ceremony. His Grace Benjamin Mor Gregoriose Episcopa was the co-celebrant.

There were about 400 people present for the ordination service, including priests, local parish members, and the ordinands’ families and loved ones. H.G Samuel Mor Theophilus Episcopa laid his hands on each candidate, invoking the Holy Spirit’s blessings and consecrating them as deacons. The Episcopa presented a Bible to each ordinand.

During the homily, His Grace Samuel Mor Theophilus Episcopa encouraged the newly ordained deacons to lead a holy life and to adhere to the faith and practices of the Church.

The 77 men who were ordained expressed a profound sense of humility, joy, and gratitude as they took their vows and committed themselves to a life of service to God and His people.
