A Hope for Children center in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Pokhara held a graduation ceremony for its tailoring students on 1 July 2022.
Altogether, 16 teams of tailoring students have graduated from the tailoring unit run by Hope for Children center in Diocese of Pokhara till the year 2022.
During the ceremony, the vicar general of the diocese awarded the 17th batch of graduates with course completion certificates and encouraged them to utilize their new skills for a better future.
Bimaya, the tailoring teacher, was given time to share her teaching experience. She said, “I thank God and our leaders for giving me the privilege to be a tailoring teacher. The tailoring training not only helped me to teach others but also sharpen my skills. I thank the graduates for cooperating with me during the training.” She also congratulated the graduates for their achievements.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the graduates displayed some of the stunning outfits they had made once they fully mastered the sewing machines.
One of the graduates, Rachana Sharma said, “It was a great privilege to undergo vocational training in tailoring at this center. I thank my tutor for teaching us with patience and humility. I also thank the Hope for Children center for providing us such a great privilege to equip ourselves with this important life skill.”
