Diocese of Patna Inaugurates 500 Sanitation Facilities in Five Districts

Believers Church Diocese of Patna inaugurated 500 newly built sanitation facilities in five districts of Bihar in the month of May. The inauguration programs were held between the 18th to 21st of May 2017.

The villages situated in the interior part of these districts are still underdeveloped. The villagers are very poor and have no access to basic amenities like electricity and toilet facility. Defecating in the open fields often put their health at risk, endangering the dignity and safety of women in particular.

Realizing the struggle of the people living in these remote villages, the diocese came forward to build sanitation facilities for them.

During the time of inauguration, beneficiaries were also taught on the importance of maintaining cleanliness to keep diseases at bay.
