Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kathmandu recently organized a felicitation event to honor and encourage 35 students who achieved outstanding results in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE). The ceremony took place on July 20, 2023, at the Holy Trinity Believers Eastern Church.
The event was graced by the presence of His Grace Titus Mor Othathiose Episcopa and the Diocesan Vicar from Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kathmandu, who were invited as esteemed guests. His Grace Titus Mor Osthathiose Episcopa delivered an inspiring message to the students based on the theme of ‘God as our Protector,’ drawing references from Psalms 1:1-6, Psalms 23:1-6, and Psalms 91:1-15. He encouraged the students to make wise choices in their further studies, selecting subjects according to their abilities and passions, without imitating others. His message emphasized the value of hard work and assured the students that the Church is always ready to support and guide them as their extended family.
Following the motivational address, the 35 exceptional students were warmly felicitated for their remarkable achievements. They were presented with certificates of appreciation and a token of financial support amounting to Rs. 5000/-. The students received the honors with joy and gratitude.
Some of the SEE graduates shared their responses to the program. Brother Sudip Tamang expressed his surprise and happiness at being recognized and appreciated for his efforts. He was grateful for the encouragement and support provided by the leaders. Sister Karuna Magar, on the other hand, selflessly wished for her parents to utilize the monetary gift as they had worked hard to educate her with their earnings.
Overall, the felicitation event served as a source of motivation and inspiration for the students, encouraging them to pursue their studies with dedication and determination.
