On 20 June 2021, a local parish in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kathmandu held a dry ration distribution to help families that have been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic and nationwide lockdown.
The parish distributed dry rations to 15 needy families in Rasuwa District, Nepal. Each family received a kit containing 30 kg rice, 2 ltr oil, 2 kg salt and snack items.
These families are dependent on daily work and wages for survival, but due to the ongoing lockdown, their workplaces have been closed down and they were in dire need of help.
“I am so thankful to you for helping us with essential items during this pandemic. We were really in need of groceries, but we had no money to buy. We were struggling to meet our needs, but today you came to help us. Thank you so much”, said a recipient by name Kumari.
