Diocese of Itahari Holds Youth Retreat

Youth retreats are wonderful opportunities for young people to learn, bond, and grow in their faith.

With this in mind, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Itahari held a youth retreat on 16 November 2022 at St. Peter’s Believers Eastern Church in Dhankuta district, Nepal, under the theme “To know the heart of God the Father”.

Around 50 youth members from 8 different local parishes of the district took part in the retreat. H.G. Theodore Mor Origen Episcopa, Diocesan Vicar of Itahari Diocese, and the diocesan youth leader were the resource persons at the program.

H.G. Theodor Mor Origen Episcopa encouraged the youth from the book of Romans 1:8-16 and shared with them on how to become a light to others.

Speaking in the second session, the diocesan vicar talked about the orthodox faith and the holy traditions of the Holy Church. He also spoke on the characteristics of the true Church.

In the third session, the diocesan youth leader shared the story of the prodigal son to give a glimpse of the love that Heavenly Father has for His children.

The last session was taken by H.G. Theodore Mor Origen Episcopa who spoke on the subject ‘The filling of the Holy Spirit.’

The youth retreat turned out to be a great blessing to all those who attended.
