On December 18, 2024, Believers Eastern Church Imphal Diocese, led by His Grace Jeremiah Mor Theodosius Episcopa, Bishop of Imphal and Churachandpur Dioceses, demonstrated the true spirit of Christmas by reaching out to the needy in Tamu District, Sagaing Region, Myanmar, near the Indian border. This charitable effort provided essential relief to 29 struggling families, offering a beacon of hope during challenging times.
The Church distributed much-needed grocery items to each family, including 50 kilograms of rice, 1 liter of cooking oil, 1 kilogram of dal, and 1 kilogram of sugar. By extending care to the less fortunate, the Church brought more than just physical relief—it also shared a message of love, and kindness that defines the Christmas season.
One of the grateful beneficiaries, Mr. Thangboi, shared his heartfelt thanks, saying, “I am thankful to God for providing me essential relief items through Believers Eastern Church. It is indeed a blessing to receive this aid during such a difficult time, where going out to buy rice and daily necessities has become a risky endeavor due to the ongoing civil war. Once again, I am deeply thankful to the Church for this gift.”
This outreach reflects the Church’s unwavering commitment to serving those in need, especially in times of crisis, spreading the true message of Christmas to those who need it most.
