Diocese of Birtamod Provides Essential Supplies to Home for Children with Disabilities

In observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a Women’s Fellowship team along with Sisters of Compassion visited a home for children with special needs and distributed essential items to them on 3 December 2021.

The home is located 3.5 km away from Birtamod city. Altogether 9 children are residing in the house.

The team from the diocese spent some quality time with each child and handed out 60 kg of rice, 2 liter sunflower oil, 3 kg dal, 3 kg sugar, 5 kg salt, 2 kg beaten rice to the chairperson of the home.

Mr. Krishna Dev Dulal, the chairperson of the home, was very happy and expressed his deep gratitude to the church for the great help.

“I myself am a physically disabled person. Thank you for visiting us with essential items. This is the second time you have provided us with rations and necessities”, he said.
