Diocese of Birtamod Helps the Poor With Essential Supplies

On 6 July 2021, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Birtamod held a dry ration kit distribution program in Sankhuwasabha District, Nepal. The distribution was carried out by a local parish in the district.

Mr. Netra Bahadur Dangi, ward chairman, was present at the distribution program. He appreciated the work of the church saying, “The church has done a great work among the needy and suffering families during this pandemic. I hope that you will be reaching out to many more needy families of our community in the days to come.”

A total of 10 families were provided with dry ration kits. Each kit consisted of 25 kg rice, 1 kg dal, 1 kg salt, and a half liter oil.

The beneficiaries included daily wage laborers and the elderly. They joyfully thanked the church for the timely help.

“I am really thankful to the church for helping me with food items during this pandemic. I was worried about how to feed my family. Thank you so much for showing love and kindness to us”, said Harka Bahadur.
