Diocese of Birtamod Distributes Essential Supplies to the Needy on World Food Day

In observance of World Food Day, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Birtamod reached out to poor and needy families with essential supplies on 16 October 2022.

The distributions were held at three different hamlets of Okhaldhunga District, East Nepal. Altogether, 22 families were provided with the essential items. Each family received a sack of 30 kg rice, 1 liter oil and 1 kg each of dal and salt.

The recipients included daily wage laborers, dalits, single women and the elderly. They received the items joyfully and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the church for the great assistance.

Mrs. Goma Sunuwar said, “I am really thankful to the church for helping me and my family with food supplies during these greatest festivals (Dashain and Tihar). I was worrying about how to feed my family and relatives. Thank you so much for the timely assistance.”
