Diocese of Bilaspur Ordains 80 New Deacons

Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Bilaspur celebrated the ordination of 80 new deacons recently.

H.G. John Mor Irenaeus Episcopa, the Archbishop of the Delhi Archdiocese, ordained the men to the sacred order of the diaconate. H.G. Yacob Mor Theophanous Episcopa concelebrated the liturgy.

The ceremony commenced with a solemn procession, where all the candidates made their way to the church, holding symbols of faith, including the cross, Bible, and candles.

H.G. John Mor Irenaeus Episcopa extended his prayers to each candidate, seeking divine blessings for their journey as deacons. In a symbolic gesture of faith, the New Testament was distributed to all present.

In a moment of commitment, each candidate signed their name in the register, affirming their dedication to their newfound role as deacons. The culmination of the ceremony came with the partaking of the Holy Eucharist.
