Diocese of Amritsar Holds Free Eye Check-up Camp

Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Amritsar organized a free eye check-up camp for underprivileged communities on 11 September 2022.

The objective of this camp was to spread awareness on eye disorders and help the needy get better vision which will increase their quality of living.

In the camp, people were examined for common eye problems, near and far vision and other eye ailments. A team of ophthalmologists and optometrists from Om Prakash Eye Institute screened patients for eye diseases and distributed free medicines.

The camp was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by Mr Rana Singh, head of the village. Around 125 people were tested by the experts in the camp.

Bajinder Singh, 60 years old, said, “I have been suffering from eye problem for long years. I am happy that today I was able to get my eyes tested and get eye drops”.
