Diocese of Agartala Ordains 98 New Deacons

Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Agartala held an ordination ceremony this month, welcoming 98 men into the holy order of diaconate.

Due to limited space, the sacred event was conducted in two batches, with more than 150 attendees witnessing the historic occasion.

The chief celebrant of the event was His Grace Justin Mor Thomas Episcopa, Archbishop of Kolkata Archdiocese.. Assisting him as the co-celebrant was HG Anil Mor Philomon Episcopa, Bishop of Tripura.

Speaking at the ceremony, HG Justin Mor Thomas Episcopa emphasized the importance of the diaconate and its role in serving the Church and the local communities. He highlighted the significance of spreading compassion, love, and kindness in today’s world, and encouraged the newly ordained deacons to be beacons of hope and inspiration.

The ordination of 98 deacons marks a significant milestone for the Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Agartala, reinforcing the Church’s commitment to nurturing and expanding its spiritual community.
