The Diocese of Agartala dedicated toilets for villagers lacking sanitation facilities on 10th April 2014. The villagers didn’t have proper sanitation facilities and usually they used open places to defecate.
It was very difficult for women and elderly people to relieve them in the open. They usually waited until dusk or went out before dawn in fear of being seen. During the monsoon season the whole area was filled with water and difficulties increased.
Providing toilets for these community memebers is just one example of how Believers Church brings dignity and hygiene to a village through constructing toilets.
