To provide relief aid to the victims of the Kerala temple tragedy, Believers Church Diocese of Niranam conducted a gift distribution program on 11th June 2016.
On 10th April 2016, a massive fire broke out during a fireworks display in one of the temples in Kerala which claimed the lives of many, injured scores of people and destroyed several houses in the vicinity.
With an aim to provide assistance to the victims of the fire tragedy, Believers Church held this program.
The event had an audience of around 500 hundred people. Mr. Jayalal (MLA) was invited as chief guest for this special occasion. He inaugurated the program and distributed dry ration packs and school supplies to the victims’ families. A total of 130 dry ration supplies (containing 5 kg rice, 1 kg sugar, ½ kg dal, ½ ltr oil and 1 salt packet) and school supplies (school bag, notebooks and 1 umbrella) were distributed that day.
The recipients extended their thanks to the church for carrying out this charitable work and helping them in their hour of need.
