On 18 August 2021, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Nagpur opened a new tailoring training center with the goal of making underprivileged women self-reliant and economically independent.
Mrs. Gita Dadvi, the officer of the protection of women from domestic violence and sexual harassment act, Mr. Wankhede, HR, tahsil office, Shri. Sunil Chunarkar, panchayat samiti secretary were the chief guests at the inaugural program.
Shri. Sunil Chunarkar, panchayat samiti secretary thanked the church for opening the new tailoring training center in his ward to empower poor and needy women. He also urged the tailoring trainees to utilize this opportunity to the fullest.
A total of 12 women have enrolled for the vocational training program.
The free tailoring training center has been established as a part of Hope for Children’s skill development program “Hunar Vikas Karyakram” which intends to create sustainable livelihood options for women living in poverty and help them become economically independent.
