Between 28th May and 30th May 2014, ten new bore wells were inaugurated in the Diocese of Nagpur. Altogether 610 people access these new facilities every day.
These remote villages lacked necessary facilities like water and sanitation. The people used to draw water from the nearby pond for cleaning, bathing, cooking and even drinking. This contaminated water spread diseases and often the villagers fell sick.
For a long time the villagers longed for pure water, and by seeing their struggle for water the church took the decision to install bore wells. The villagers can now use the well water for drinking, cooking, cleaning and other needs. They are very grateful and happy.
Believers Church provides pure water to hundreds of communities through bore wells, BioSand water filters and water tanks.
