On 8th March 2015, International Women’s Day and Founder’s Day, Believers Church Diocese of Mumbai organized compassion programs in different places.
They went to hospitals and streets and distributed food packets, sweets and fruits among the patients and street dwellers. They also distributed notebooks to girl children who are from financially poor families.
The same day, the diocese launched a widow care project in one place to serve the poor and neglected widows there. Smt. Smita Raju Avade (District Council Member) inaugurated the project and then distributed sarees to 75 widows who gathered for the program.
Believers Church used the occasion of Founder’s Day and International Women’s Day to help and serve the poor, needy and destitute in society.
