Diocese of Mumbai Holds Health Awareness Program

During the COVID-19 pandemic, handwashing is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of the virus and protect others from getting sick. In an effort to raise awareness about the importance of handwashing, Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Mumbai organized a health awareness program for women through Hope for Children on 30 August 2021.

Around 20 women attended the program where they learned about the importance of maintaining hand hygiene. The diocesan women’s fellowship leader talked about how hand washing with soap reduces the incidence of diseases , including COVID-19 and ensures a healthier life. She also demonstrated the steps for washing hands with soap. At the end of the program, handwashing pamphlets were distributed to all the participants.

The participants were happy that they got the opportunity to learn about the proper hand washing technique and they thanked the team for organizing the awareness program.

Asha said, “I never knew how important it was to wash hands properly in order to enjoy good health. I will teach the hand washing method to my family members too.”
