Diocese of Mumbai Holds Free Medical Camp for Residents of a Slum Area

Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Mumbai held a free medical camp for the poor residents of a slum area on 8th November 2017.

A team of doctors including child specialists, eye doctors, gynecologists and general physicians and six paramedical staff extended their services in the camp. 56 children who are enrolled in Bridge of Hope, their parents, 128 people from the locality including children from the neighborhood received free medical check-up and medicines during the camp.

Ranjana Kanojiya, a participant of the camp said, “I have been suffering from back pain for the last eight years, but I could not go for a proper treatment because of financial constraints. However, through this camp, I was able to do MRI test and get proper treatment”.

“I appreciate the church for organizing this social work and helping the poor and needy of this area. I was excited to be a part of this camp”, said, Dr. Ramesh Kamble, one of the doctors who provided free consultation to the participants at the camp.
