Diocese of Lucknow Reaches Out to People With Special Needs on World Disability Day
December 3, 2019On 3 December 2019, on International Day of Persons with Disabilities the local parishes of Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Lucknow extended help and support to people living with disabilities.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is aimed at promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of life and raising awareness about the need for social support for them.
On this day, parishes took initiative to visit people with special needs in their locality and distributed winter aid to help them stay warm in this winter. Few parishes distributed mosquito nets and fruits to the disabled living in poverty.
