The Diocese of Lucknow conducted an awareness rally on World No Tobacco Day, 31st May 2014. Fifty people attended the program.
The people carried banners and placards to spread awareness. The main purpose of the rally was to give a clear message to the society about the harmful impact of tobacco.
They distributed pamphlets titled Babuji Ab Na Pina (Daddy, Please Don’t Drink) among the people to spread the awareness. More than 5,000 people were educated about the ill effects of tobacco consumption.
Ramesh, who witnessed the rally, said, “Our state is a victim of this bad habit and your initiative can make a big difference, it is not only your responsibility but we must join you to make our state a tobacco free state.”
On this World No Tobacco Day Believers Church reached many thousands of people and educated them against tobacco consumption.
