Diocese of Kolkata Provides Relief Aid to 397 Flood-Hit Families

Believers Church Diocese of Kolkata distributed relief supplies to 397 flood-affected families in three different places on 1st August 2015.

Bishop Dr. Juria Bardhan and Mr. Dilip Mandal (MLA) were the chief guests in these programs and they distributed the supplies to each beneficiary.

The church distributed 350 mosquito nets, 500 kg of rice, 100 kg of pulses, 11 tarpaulin and four tricycles to the victims according to their needs.

Monimala Mandol was on among them. Her food supplies were destroyed in the flood and she was in need of some help. That day, the church provided her with 10 kg of rice, two kg of pulses and a mosquito net. She thanked Believers Church for helping her out through this relief work.

Believers Church immediately reaches out to the victims of natural disasters with help and assistance through its Humanitarian Assistance project.
