Believers Eastern Church Archdiocese of Kolkata organized a virtual youth conference on 11th and 12th October 2021. Altogether, 225 youth from various parishes of the diocese participated in the conference and were blessed.
On the first day, H.G. Justin Mor Thomas Episcopa spoke on the topic ‘Make a difference’ and motivated the youth to live a life that will make a difference in society and bring glory to God.
On the second day, one of the ordained priests gave a message on the theme ‘Selfless in a selfie world’ and explained to the young people about how to live a selfless life and represent Jesus Christ to others through their life and service.
Indeed, the youth were motivated and encouraged by the teachings. There was also time of prayer and intercession where the youth prayed in one accord for the nation and the world.
Sanjina Mardi, 19 years old, said, “I am thankful to the church for providing me such a wonderful opportunity to attend the conference for two days which refreshed my spiritual life and deepen my relationship with God.”
Sourav Hembram, aged 18, said, “Through this conference I realized that in order to make my life more meaningful, I need to live a selfless life like how Jesus lived on earth. I am really motivated and encouraged by the teachings at the conference. I will live a life that will please God and make a difference in the lives of others.”
