Believers Church Diocese of Kolkata organized social welfare and community development programs on Founder’s Day and International Women’s Day, 8th March 2015.
A team of diocesan staff, Women’s Fellowship members and Sisters of Compassion under the guidance of Bishop Dr. Juria Bardhan went and distributed food packets in slums, streets, leprosy colonies and railway stations. 1,200 people including widows, beggars, orphans and lepers received food packets through these distributions. They also gifted 43 mosquito nets and 25 blankets to poor and needy women in a red light area.
The same day, the diocese dedicated new bore wells installed in four different villages and newly constructed toilets to five families.
Believers Church organized different programs on Founder’s Day and International Women’s Day to reach out to the needy and poor with help and compassion.
